The Indian intelligence agencies had received information that the organization Popular Front of India was collecting money from home and abroad in the name of social work and using these funds for anti-national activities. In more than a dozen cases filed across the country, the office-bearers of the Popular Front of India were involved somewhere. It was also suspected that money coming from abroad, especially from the Gulf countries, was being misused. According to this, a special raid was conducted across the country on Wednesday and Thursday after the investigation conducted jointly by all the tapasya agencies like NIA, ED found the facts. Five people were arrested from Kurla, Malad, Kandivali and surrounding areas of Mumbai. Mazhar, who was arrested from Kurla, is the state vice-president of the organisation, Iqbal Khan, who was arrested from Malad and Kandivali respectively, works in a film studio, while Mohim Hasan is a spice vendor. Some sensitive materials have been recovered from the arrested accused, including the book ‘Vision 2047’.

The investigation agencies suspect that they were being prepared for future accidents and the police said that the investigation of the arrested accused is going on accordingly.
