Jaimee Michell, founder of the anti-trans, anti-drag group Gays Against Groomers, has it appeared on Fox News, blaming gender-affirming health care for the murder of five people in the Colorado Springs mass shooting.
On Tuesday (November 22), two days after the devastating incident at Club Q, Michell suggested that attacks like the Colorado Springs shooting should continue until the “evil agenda” of gender-affirming care is stopped.
Michelle said: “You know when you say ‘groomer’ is an anti-LGBTQ+ slur that does irreparable harm to us as a whole and puts a really big target on our backs.
“And unfortunately, you know, the tragedy that happened last night in Colorado Springs was expected and predictable.
According to Mitchell, the so-called Gays Against Groomers saw the attack coming “from a mile away.”
“Unfortunately, I don’t think it will stop until we end this evil agenda that attacks children.”
Carlson follows, opening his segment by characterizing gender-affirming care for trans children as child abuse.
He then suggested that teaching children about gay and trans people was sexual exploitation, but insisted he had nothing against the queer community.
Fox News broadcast that mass shootings in LGBTQ spaces will continue unless we pass laws that medically discriminate against transgender people. This is a direct amplification of the threat of mass murder for political gain https://t.co/E7QKWw5uIV

Gays Against Groomers claims to fight the “indoctrination and sexualization of children,” which it says includes “drag queen story classes, drag shows involving children, transitioning and medicalization of minors, and gender theory taught in the classroom.”
It’s not the first time Carlson has used his platform to spread misinformation, accusing LGBTQ-inclusive schools and hospitals that cater to trans youth of committing “sex crimes” in September.
Carlson also called health officials who provide vital gender-affirming care “criminals.” He then accused hospitals that received bomb threats of “playing the victim”.
After Carlson’s toxic words, former FBI official Frank Figliuzzi said during an interview with MSNBC that far-right congresswoman Lauren Boebert and Carlson should “face civil consequences for the victims” of the Colorado Springs shooting.
The hate mail follows JK Rowling facing criticism after she “liked” an anti-LGBTQ+ tweet from the Libs of TikTok social media account.
Libs of TikTok is a far-right Twitter account that has been accused of harassing children’s hospitals that offer gender-affirming care, including a bomb hoax against a hospital targeted by its anti-LGBTQ+ campaign.
One LGBTQ+ ally standing up to the right-wing rhetoric is Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, also known as AOC.
The AOC slammed anti-LGBTQ+ Republicans, telling them to “connect the dots” between their hate campaign and the deadly shooting in Colorado Springs.
